I have seen so many. Admittedly, I am in it for the look primarily, so the most affordable way to chrome those "louvres" on the hood is what i want.
I saw something from "fierce" that looked SO BADASS but is roughly $1500
never seen anyone with a pic with that on. Any advice or links appreciated.
I HATE this economy. Id be buying up the best of everything if my business had not slowed.........

You need real chrome or just the look? The limited edition style chrome insert from GM will run you half what a full billet insert will.

I agree hitech is who I would look at. Later after I had done business with him some and he found out I showed my truck on a large regional scale Karl did some sponsoring so he has not ever been bad to deal with even before his sponsoring. Now it has been almost 3 years since I have needed anything so maybe he has gotten cranky. Mine looks like his and I have ball milled finish.
None the less hitech is a good choice. I have the top hood billet quadruple chromed vent since I have removed vent completely and installed a full functioning reverse cowl hood scope now. I can save you some cash as mine is like new, not on rig long at all. I would need to get it out of my parts storage rack at MotorSportsAuthority.com which is Dragon's custom shop. It is where Dragon and I keep anything we remove. I would like to make sure it is still like new as it has been rapped up good.
I would need zip to see what shipping would be in fact complete address would be even better. I forgot to add that sometimes if you have a business address to ship it cost less. You could PM me with it all and let me work out what your shipping would cost and come up with complete cost for you.
You could look up TAZ in pic section and most likely find vent since we have tried to add pics when we do something new to the girl.

Im looking for opinions, the "look" is number 1 to me. But I dont want
ANYTHING that looks 'cheezy'. I plan on getting a number of things, to accent my truck which already looks pretty good now. Im guessing id like a 'mirror' finish type chrome, and not a pounded style....
My business is slow now so I need to watch my budget more than usual.
I cant really see good pictures of the links here, they wont enlarge.
And $600 may be a bit more than what I want to spend....

Whatever you do....DON'T get the Putco ABS Plastic Chrome one....you'll just waste your money, cause you'll change it within the year!! I had it, it was OK but..........................
Get BILLET CHROME!!!

im a computer guy here in LA. NOT a car guy, so I dont know what billeted chrome is. Is that chrome with pounded texture? I dont want some cheap
thing, especially in such a large prominent area on the rig. Ill keep looking,
maybe I can find some pics in the forums.
