I have searched all the forums. I have found nothing. So I just might be the first, at least the first to post it.

I thought this layout might work good. Its well within reach for use while behind the wheel.

I wired it up. It was very easy.

And the final product.

Hmmm, sorry not sure I like it, but that's just me.

Maybe overhead console..... Any thoughts

Have been looking for a good solution to have the winch control inside too.

Very nice. Can it be by-passed to an outside switch?

Rene--I wanted to keep the controlls within reach while having to winch and drive at the same time. Its alot easier to reach controlls where I mounted them than up on the roof console.

Drty... It can be bypassed by the outside controller. The covered switch on the dash has is the 12V Hot. The two push buttons are the grounds that complete the circuit. So you flip the covered switch to "arm" the system. You just T into the controller wire with the hot and grounds. Very simple set up.

How are you going to ensure the cable is not getting in a bind, if you can't see it while winching?

Tomp - good thinking.

Maybe that's what the holder thingy closer to the window is for, there you put the lcd screen that have a small camera on top of the winch, so you can keep an eye on it from inside your car.

Anyway I do like the idea of being able to use the winch control from inside the car. Right now I roll dwn my window and the cable for the winch control is long enough so I can use it that way, but it dosn't look "clean".
