Nice presentation G.L. Have you thought about Rhino lining the black hood piece. I think it would be a nice addition to your mostly Rhinoed front end. Great job, Looking forward to seeing your rig when you get the rims done. What program or site did you use to do this post ?

You could've used a heat gun or a hair dryer to remove those emblems.

How doe you like the Dupli-Color truckbed coating for the lights? I picked up a can and am considering doing the grill with it.
The stuff your grill is done with seems, for the lack of a better word, "glittery"... Is the Dupli-Color stuff like that too, or is it more "flat"?
Excellent work! Truck looks great and I love the H3 emblems!

Thanks, I wouldn't recommend using that on the grill, because mine they used "hot spray", they will last longer.
Dupli-color truckbed coating is flat black. Yes, my grill looks glittery just because I put tire shine. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

TGL - I don't want to make a mistake here... Why don't you recommend this? Does the Dupli-Color stuff seem fragile or brittle? Did it not work well for the lights?
I'll spring for the line-x, but would rather save 80-90 bucks if possible. BUT, if the Dupli-Color stuff is going to fall apart...

Well, the Dupli-Color is basically a cold spray, coming out of a pressure can. Spray On Bedliners or Line-X uses a hot spray. It dries rock hard and will last a long time. They also have a large spray gun to cover large areas evenly. The Dupli-Color works great on little stuff you can repair easily, but for the grill I just think it would be better to have it professionally done. That’s all.
cheers!!

Ipedog, I used the Dupli-Color truckbed coating on my grill and am extremely happy with the results. It is very durable and has a flat finish to it. I figured i would rather spend 20 bucks to do it myself, if it works, awesome, i save about 100 bucks, if not... no biggie.
TIPS: 1) I used a full 2 cans on it.
2) scuff up the with like 100 grit.
3) try to apply it at 90* angles otherwise you get a VERY rough surface, I would suggest hanging it.
If you have any questions, let me know.

Hi Guys,
Great looking car. I have a couple of questions. I am looking to see what is the largest size off road tire I can git on the H3 without rubbing...
I really like your "Toyo Open Country MT's - 315 75 R16",
I'm new here so forgive me if I ask a dumb one, but it would seem to me the these would rub a the slightest road bump, or as soon as your steered...
Am i wrong? and can someone tell me what is the largest size off road tire I can git on the H3 without rubbing?
Thanks!!!

For most with 35's, you get some rubbing at full crank on steering wheel, and some rubbing at full flex of suspension. Even guys and gals with 33's get a little rubbing on the sway bar at full crank. Most have cranked up their torsion bars to raise the front end 1 to 2 inches. It gives more room for 35's and helps level out the truck. Green Lantern is running 35's without cranking the torsion bars with no problems.

The company went out of business. They sold off some of their products, like the winch bumper, to Predator. Supposedly there' new owners of SMA and they were going to start making stuff again, but haven't seen any action on that front for a long time.
