Well guys, it took a solid month to get my H2 transported from Seattle, WA to central Florida, but it was well worth the wait. This is my first H2 and I am still stunned by it. As you can see from these pics, it's pretty basic on the outside so far but that will be changing over the next few months with the addition of a heavy, non-OEM brush guard (PM suggestions if you have any, would be appreciated), a GOBI full-length roof rack so that I can move the spare up top, and slowly blacking out the chrome bits. I did add the "U" steps on the first night, so that would be my first mod. I will update this post with pics as mods are done.

Now I need to take a couple vacation days and play with my new toy. Whoo-hoo!

Thanks for the great forum guys.

Congrats Mike~!

The truck looks identical to mine!
Anyways, how did you transport it?
open or enclosed?

Have fun w/it. I've had mine since March and I'm still in love w/it.

I've put a Corsa Sport Exhaust and an extra roof rail (totaling 3 rails)
I installed an ipod adaptor through the factory navigation stereo.

Other than that, I haven't done anything else.

I used enclosed transport for the ~3200 miles from there to here.

Right now, I am digging into the forums' histories in an attempt to compile a list of "must have" modifications to address manufacturing and/or design defects, such as weak tie-rod ends, transmission cooling, etc. If such a list already exists then I would be quite thankful for a pointer, else I will eventually publish my research here.

Aside from the aforementioned "must have" mods, I will be adding brush & taillight guards, the GOBI roof rack, and then working on the black-out. I have also been thinking about the black XD796 Revolver wheels by KMC, but that's not pressing as the stock wheels are actually pretty nice. The "U" steps are a very pleasant surprise... they are GREAT!

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice looking H2, will you black out the front and rear bumpers? they look out of place I guess you could say being silver.

Undecided about those plates for now. The chrome will go first and then I will make the call on the plates. Thanks for the props. :beerchug:

Yes sir, I had already posted in that thread and have just submitted a PM to you regarding the "treehugger" as a possible front runner on my list, supplanting the Real Wheels two-tier/ss/black with inserts over the lights. Thanks!

I bet you are glad to have your HUMMER at home.
I really like the look of the interior of the newer ones
but wish the had kept the air vents off the older models.
Have great fun with it and remember we always like pictures.
