GOBI rack and SKi's

Hi all, I am considering a Gobi rack, but its main use during winter will be for Skis and snowboards, anyone that has a Gobi rack is it good for this application ?

As I don’t have the cross bars it’s either about $700 for the cross bars and then the ski rack or double for the Gobi, I love the look of the Gobi just not sure if it will be the best solution, or even a good solution.

GOBI has the bars in the rack for ski/ bike mounts. It's the same size diameter bar as Yakima and they mount very nice. I have the Yakima lift ticket on mine and it works out good.

Let me know if you have any sepfic Q's about the rack(s).

What kind of tube is the GOBI rack made of? (steel, aluminum) and what is the size diameter?
