Rewritten in english....

I have an extensive collection of guitars, ranging from low-end beginner stuff to high-end professional musician and/or collector grade instruments that I am interested in selling or trading.

What I'd like to do is save the time of listing them on eBay so I'm interested in a trade or sell.

OK.....any questions, don't hesitate to drop me a line!

(PS:I also have a few guitar amps and some recording studio gear as well, if that might interest you.)

You might get more interest if you just simply said "Want to trade guitars for H2 parts." Your overly-wordy sales pitch turned me off, that's for sure.

hmmmm,

Recently listed my 2003 OEM black tail light guards for $25.00 in a three day auction and got $122.50 for them after they started out at $27.00 the first day and going to $120.00 before the winning bid on the third day.

Listed my 2003 OEM Bosch off road lights and covers for a three day auction and a "buy it now" price of $110.00 and they sold in two.

Shoot, a guy in Saudia Arabia wanted to know if I would ship him the lights, by the time I got him the shipping cost and started a e-mail to him someone did the buy it now.

My spare HUMMER parts are selling okay for me on eBay.....:D

Waaaaayyyyy too hard of an oversell dude. Why don't you put a few of those guitars on Ebay and let us watch how the bidding goes....

Better yet, why not fly to Vegas and try to sell them to Rick, the owner of the pawn shop tv show "pawn Stars." This way we can all get a good giggle by watching the event on TV!

Let's face it......there are a LOT more guitar players and collectors than Hummer owners. That's just a rather obvious fact.

ummm,.... not in this forum! :grouphug:

Hey Guys, if you're not guitar players or collectors, that's cool. I don't think in this economy doing barters is a bad idea, but if you're not interested, that's perfectly ok. No need for hostility though. It was a simple offer, which you can take or leave, at your pleasure.

As to how many guitars in owner's collections there are in the world versus the number of Hummer owners, if you REALLY question that hard cold reality, you may want to question the source of anyone who tells you the numbers are even in the same galaxy, let alone the same neighborhood.

Now granted, I'm sure there are more Hummer owners than guitar owners on THIS forum, but the offer was made in the hope that there was another guy like me that could engage in a win-win situation if he had some Hummer stuff to get rid of and had an interest in my offer. It was NOT an invitation to engage in combat or trade insults, which I'm just not going to do. I had my share of that in the real world long ago, and I just won't do it on-line unless I'm playing Halo 3 at my son's insistence.

On a side note, as a Mod of one of the largest Harley forums on the web, (we have over 20,000 members, with hundreds and hundreds of new posts every time I log on), I'm just not used to a forum where derisive behavior of fellow members is tolerated. On our forum, flaming gets a member, no matter how long their tenure or even if they are a financial contributor, as many are, an instant "vacation" the first time it happens and a permanent ban for a second offense, as we insist that all members are treated with respect and courtesy, whether we agree what they have to say or not.

Now, I wouldn't presume to tell anyone how to run THIS site, but I'm a little surprised that "keyboard commandos" are ready to criticize another member's post when that just doesn't seem appropriate. If you think I'm "over-selling" or "hard selling" or whatever, don't engage in a deal with me, that's all. If you think offering a trade deal is a stupid idea, or a trade deal outside the box of Hummer for Hummer stuff is just crazy, well then, don't do it.

But I'm not really highly interested in whether you like the idea if you have no interest in discussing a deal, just whether you want to trade or sell an item I'm interested in acquiring, or whether you might like to buy or trade for a guitar at what would be a good deal for both parties. THAT is the response I have an interest in. If you have no interest in my offer, I respect your right to not particpate in a trade deal, and I respectfully ask that you let it go at that, as I would do for you. If you happen to like guitars, and would like to hear more about my collection, which happens to be pretty extensive, I'd love to hear from you.

Fair enough, Gentlemen?

Come on now, you are talking about HD riders, right ? Their skin is a little thicker than some/most (well, except the posers who want to know if their chaps look okay) and can take a little sh!t thrown their way, in the same way as most of the members here can take a "little ribbing".

"Now, I wouldn't presume to tell anyone how to run THIS site, but I'm a little surprised that "keyboard commandos" are ready to criticize another member's post when that just doesn't seem appropriate."

What has happened to you here is mild compared to what some other noob's have seen in the past. The Mods here are watching and most likely having a good laugh reading this thread :giggling: Read through some of the post around here and you will see what I mean.

By the way, Dave Price created V-Twin Forum in October of 2001, ran into a little trouble with HD because of the forums orginal name/colors and had to change it to the V-Twin name, then in 2007, V-Twin Forum joined the Motorcycle .com Network to reach out to more enthusiasts and is closer to being the largest HD/motorcycle site than most. (I have been a member there since 2003. I do wrench on (as I do with the H2) my 1999 Night Train and the V-Twin site is a great resource for that as this site is for the HUMMER brand.)
