okay, i bent my tie rod a couple weeks ago. I was able to do a temp field fix and go to the dealer and order a new one. a week later, i'm calling the dealership asking where my tire rod is and now they're telling me that GM is looking for a supplier and that they can't give me any sort of ETA on when i'll be getting the part. WTF! i talked to napa auto parts, and they can get me in the inner but not the outer. i need both. my field fix was straightening the rod back out and welding a steel sleeve over it. if i can't find a new inner/outer. i'm going to have to grind off the weld, re-use the old outer and get napa to get me an inner.
can someone help me out here? does anyone know where i can get one? does anyone have one I could buy off of them?
