Any Recommendations On Trailer Brake Controlers for the H2

I plan on taking a trip with my Brother this summer maybe to Canada and making some other stops. Thinking about renting a nice travel trailer with in the CVGW range.

Don't relly know if the travel trailers come with electric wheel brakes or not. If they do I would feel alot safer with a controler mounted under the dash.

Also..does the H2 have provisions or a point designed to tie in Trailer brakes under the dash? I'd like to buy a good brand name unit if needed.
I know the H2 has a "Tow Haul" mode but that just controls the tranny not the brakes.

What do you guys suggest?

Prodigy- GREAT unit. There is a hook up on the fuse panel under the dash that the trailer wiring simply plugs into and you are done! The only problem is that if you have a light bar hooked up and it is NOT a true LUX package, chances are that the light bar is getting it's power from the same spot that the trailer plug goes into. Hummer does not recco tying into this line to run both as with the light bar on and the brake controller atthe same time you may blow a fuse. Not sure if that would be the case or not as the controller cannot be pulling that many amps....

Thanks Guys...Prodigy it is ..I'll hunt them dowwm on the web. So I assume the unit only needs 12 DC to function. So the braking force to the trailer is internaly controlled by the Prodigy's sensors and external adjustments. Is that haow they work???:popcorn:

I think I can hunt up a 12 volt source if that's all that's needed on my 2009

hi the wiring is in your truck under the dash just put a plug on it connect to the trailer brake box and connect 2 wires and add a fuse uder the hood.
