Hi. I am newbie looking for some advice. We recently picked up a 2005 H2 with low miles - but hard (offroad) miles. We have been working the bugs out. Finally found the front end noise to be loose lower control arm mounting bolts. They have probably been loose for a while as they have rounded out the holes in the frame and now their is about 3/16" of slop in the hole. Ideas on how to fix. My idea is to weld some thick washers to the frame in the correct locations. Good or bad idea - and any other suggestions? Thanks.

I went ahead and made some 3/16" thick x 1.5" x 2" metal plates. Drilled 16mm holes (used 5/8" bit - same size). Welded them up on each side of the control arm brackets. The bolt is back in the original spot and should stay there. Off to the alignment shop. Advice would be just to double check those bolts are tight from time to time and will cause a popping sound in the front end when loose. I also used lock tite. Anyway - all is fixed. Also installed a pitman arm, idler arm and cognito brackets.
