cant see much out of the back up camera in 08 h2 because it is mounted on bumper below the spare tire... anyone had rear camera mounted anywhere else to improve visibility? i am thinking maybe on the top of the car.
Hi i didn't move my 08 factory camera, but i added a second camera to the spare tire cover and its better for seeing behind. The factory one is great for hooking to a trailer, i leave the mirror turned off so the screen doesn't slide out till hooking to a trailer. The tire cover camera is hooked to the nav screen it works great.

tracy... the gmx 322 allowed you to have the additional video input i assume. I orderd the new bluestar 2010 component to replace my onstar. My question is, will the bluestar and the gmx 322 work fine together?
I ask because i believe the mute button can be used by the bluestar system and it is used to switch between locked and unlock modes with the gmx 322...
I might be completely wrong about this (having confused a number of different products that i have learned about)
thanks for the help
Hi they do work together but i have to turn the rear and front camera on and off from the window switch not the mute button because it will turn on the bluetooth. This is only when you turn the camera on with the window switch not when its in auto mode just put in rev and the camera comes on. I use the mute or talking mouth button only for the bluestar unit. If you do hit the mute button to cancell the camera you also have to hit the onstar button to cancell the phone, hope this helps
