Actually, it's supply and demand and the first surge will be people that want one while they can still get one. I've only seen one dealer's internet prices go up overnight, while the big ones haven't changed, but they'll probably sell more in a week than in the last month. The demand for Hummers overseas is HUGE and will keep prices up. Many, many Hummers have been going on ships in the last month to never be seen in the US again. Can you blame them, when they are getting outrageous prices for them in the Mideast, Russia and South America? There are 250 overseas Hummer dealers and 153 Hummer dealers in the US and the ones overseas have been outselling the US almost three to one. I think overseas demand is the main reason they started up the 2010 H3 line in Shreveport as well as giving dealers in the US some new inventory.

With all the snow we've had in upstate New York. Hummers are selling better than ever here. I talked with my good friend in the service department at the Hummer dealer here and they sold 3 in one day Wednesday. They are only discounting the remaining H3s slightly and the two 2009 H2s they had sold last week. This weather has been good for Hummer sales in the Northeast. I don't think there's going to much discounting, especially with reports of Hummers being shipped overseas for unreal prices.

It's sad that Hummer brand is being discontinued, but in one way I'm almost pleased that Chinese didn't buy it, I'd feel it as an insult (just like they bought IBM etc); that way in the future an American buyer could be possibly found, or GM can restart production some day when the market and the political situation :raar: are more favorable ...

Either way, I'm extremely happy with my H3, and only trade-in I'd consider would be another, newer H3 (or even H2, but wife is against the "bigger" brother). Hummer rules, Like Nothing Else! Unique.
