What a handsome young fellow :) Seriously, as a long time Hummer owner I bought my Hummers for what they can do in the woods, in the snow, through the creek, and in the mud while being comfortable in the cabin of a reliable American made vehicle. The fact that it was made in America by AM General was a factor in my buying one.
I like the looks, but it wasn't because of machismo that I bought it, it's because I wanted one after riding in a friend's offroad in the Ozarks and have loved every minute of owning both of my Hummers. To a lot of us, it's our fun car and not our everyday driver. With the offroad events dealers used to have GM helped promote it as a lifestyle and hobby. It also sold a lot of accessories before and after those events. People own Hummers for different reasons, but I'm not sure most would say it was because of the machismo.

"Trust me, these tree huggers in their Priuses. ... If a Prius hits me, I won't get hurt. They will."

was the above comment before or after the prius recall? :giggling: Nice article:beerchug:

not too impressed with the article honestly.

seemed to helped fuel the hummer bashing.. and thats about it.

and the hummer owners who all had quotes, didnt help much either.
the only who gave somewhat of a positive spin was the last one.

ehh, but whatever

Another in the long list of inflamatory articles about the Hummer. There are a lot of people out there that would like to see Hummer go away. I think the major snows we had in upstate NY this year went a long way in speaking for what Hummers can do and the need for a heavy duty 4 X 4 with exceptional capabilities.

Not really. All it takes is for a few haters to post a blog or get on television. Some people take themselves waaaay toooo serious and at the same time they fail to think for themselves when it comes to minor issues like a hummer using too much gas. Plus, I think it all comes down to where you live in this freedom hole of a country. States like Nevada, Arkansas and Texas could care less about an H2. Once the hummer is gone they'll bitch about something else.

The H2 is a downsize for me, having driven 3/4 ton Suburbans for 25 years. This is the best suv or truck I have ever driven.
