Strange noises

When pressing on or lifing off the gas pedal I get this strange noise from the right front behind the glove box. Sounds like a old man gasping for breath!!! Ideas.....

I get something similar but I haven't been able to connect it with anything, like a certain when it happens. Mine sounds like a CD spinning down for like 2 seconds then it's gone. Could it be air bag related?

But I have the same sound in my bimmer, it is quite common on E46s - vacuum fuel gauge.. But H3 doesnt have any economy gauge, or does it?
