Low Coolant?

So my wife is driving the 03' H2 and the LOW COOLANT comes up.... Just had the oil changed a month ago and mechanic checked it over.... Bad Sensor maybe? If so -- where do I get one?

Is the coolant low? Is the temperature normal? I noticed my temperature creeping up when I couldn't get heat and it needed almost a gallon of coolant but I never got any message.

My cousin is a mechanic and he looked at it.... Disconnected/reconnected the sensor wiring.... Temps were good as was the coolant level... He said the sensor is going bad.... Evidently it's a known problem with GM vehicles... It's like $65 for the new overflow bottle with the sensor....

AHH. SOAB! mine does the same thing but not all the time and I kept checking it, thanks for the tip.
