Just had to post that I paid off the SUT yesterday. I finally sold my 1987 Grand National, and was able to pay it off. This truck was by far the most expensive purcahse that I have made for a vehicle. I bought this 06, 2 years ago and financed it for 5 years.( yikes) With my business goiing up and down over the past 2 years the payment was getting to be not so much fun anymore. Its a great feeling to get rid of that payment and own this sucker out right! Now with the GN gone I can finally get her in the garage. This will help preserve her for a long time. I'm not giving this truck up any time soon thats for sure.
:beerchug: wish mine was paid for

I know the feeling! After paying lease payments for 42 months to GMAC, I paid cash for the new one.

Glad to hear it... When I sold my '03, I still owed 17K. I debated paying it off but gas prices were over 4 bucks per gallon, I just decided it was enough so I sold it.
I bought a stupid jeep for 18K, dumped 5K in 2 weeks in it, drove it less than 200 miles and sold that POS.
Before I had the jeep sold, I had already bought my '06 SUT. Except this time, I just paid cash, I couldn't stand the thought of making payments for 5 more years. (besides, I bought a new mini for 31K and though the payments are only 500 bucks, I pay 750 a month just to get rid of it)
With that payment and my wife's jeep, I just didn't need a payment for the H2.

I believe we live in new era. Consumer debt must go down. Having debt doesnt leverage anything as we are told it does. I sold my Grand National for 17K and owed 20K on the SUT. I originally planned on buying some snow mobiles for the family with a Trailer when I sold the car. I came to my senses, well actually I caught the "Dave Ramsey Show" on FOX business channel. His show is all about paying off debt and becoming more free and wealthy than you could ever believe. I thought "hey, it would nice to get rid of that h2 payment", My payment was $750 a month for 5 years, and I was paying 1k a month to pay it down quicker. That 1k every month was getting old real quick, especially with business like a roller coaster over the past few years. I paid it off 2 weeks ago and it feels great to not have to pay that 1k due May 1. Thats 12k a year I can save or invest a year! My wifes leased car is up in Sept. We are going to return that car and buy something for her that is maybe 3-4 years old and in good condition and pay cash for it. Her lease is $400 a month. Between the 2 vehicles we will save $16,800 a year !! If we want snow mobiles down the road we will save and pay cash for them. Business was so good 5 years ago that we all were living the life of stuff. Times are different and I'm growing up and just want to live my life with-out that stress.

There is alot to be said about living life without stress. But as a business owner, you know totally stress free isnt an option. LOL.

Business is good. I specialize in foreclosures. My inventory is down a bit which is same as national inventory of foreclosures. Once the band aids fall off that the government put on, the inventory will go back up to levels higher than normal.
