Just called Hummer / Gm dealer since the latest H3 recall fix has been on the internet this morning. Service guy says " the public knows about this before we do" WTF no wonder why GM is in the ****ter. I wish the dealers service people read their memos and were on it. I love my hummer H3 but c'mon GM get with it, make me fill like you actually car about the public. WTF.

why would the dealers care? the brand is dead. they are moving on or closing shop, except i guess for service??? my local hummer dealer -- who made a bundle over the years selling h3s to the4 local soccer moms -- has just a few h3s left -- and incrediblt arent offering give away deals. greedy a-holes.

I'll inspect and glue ? myself before I bring it it.
The dealer will do a sloppy job.
Maybe use 3M outdoor double sided tape(better then glue)
I have my hood handles mounted that way.

Do you think the few that came off were removed by the dealer to swap for chrome or install handles and they damaged the clips ?.:raar:

If I get round to it will just drill and pin it under the hood...
No big deal.:beerchug:

About 2 months I went to my hummer dealer to get the plugs changed. I was there about 20 minutes and the service manager said I needed a new coil. She showed it to me and it was rusted. The mechanic told me that water was leaking through the hood louver (clips were loose) and water got into the coil. He knew right away what the promblem was. Even though my H3 was out of warranty she said she would cover it. I think it was going to be around 300 dollars. So I am thinking i wasnt the first one in there for this promblem and that GM knew about this many months ago.

The louver on my '06 pulled up a bit once, I think a carwash brush (shame on me) caught it and lifted it. I just pushed it back down. Never had the problem again, nor did the '07 or '09 ever do it.

I agree with keeping it out of the dealer's hands, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Sure, the truth is that Barack Oblunder believes he must take care of certain demographics that he "owes" for putting him in office. BO just does not understand that he owes ALL OF US, not just the extreme lefties who bought the office for him.
