Well after lurking for some time and having wanted a h2 for a while I finally dove in head first. I noticed a 2005 stealth gray with 20 thou miles on ebay that didn't meet the reserve. After contacting the owner we agreed on a price. Only problem right now is it's sitting 1,800 miles away in Idaho Falls,ID and the transport company I hired hasn't found a driver for over 2 weeks. This sucks! I have owned a H2 for almost 3 weeks and haven't even seen it in person yet...lol. I have transported a lot of vehicles and never had this problem.
If I ever get it I will post some pics, til then just reading and dreaming. Wish me luck.

How about flying out and driving it back. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the ride!

I have a cousin in Jackson,WY which is only 70 miles away. He offered to take the ride back with me to visit his mom. Going to have to consider that very soon if something doesnt happen.

Best way to get acquainted with your H2 is a nice long road trip. Did it two weeks ago. Fun stuff. Enjoy it.

A one way ticket is probably good and cheap now. They are a dream to drive on the highway, easily the most comfortable riding vechical I've ever been in.
I just got back from a weekend trip to northern Minnesota and I'm sorta bummed that I made it home so soon.

I keep hearing what great highway vehicles these are. Amazing to me cause I'd only been a passenger til now and that was off-road. A total impulse buy. My intent was to replace the 5 series bimmer and the 3/4 ton suburban with 1 vehicle. It seemed like a good idea because the upstate NY winters are pretty long and I have way too many summer vehicles already. From the feedback and other posts I've read I made a good choice, just didnt expect the highway ride quality to be very good. With those giant tires and verticle windshield I just told myself not to be disappointed by the noisy harsh ride. Hopefully I will find out for myself someday.

I look forward to that....seemed as though people went out of their way to get in front of the BMW, either that or it's invisable.
A driver has been dispatched so I may see the H2 in a week or so.

Finally here and it's awesome! I love the fact that it's still 100% stock. Got a quick clean-up but will get the full detail this weekend.

Congratulations, you got a real nice one! After you own one, you'll never want to drive anything else. A lot cheaper to maintain than a 5 series too. My M5 sits in the garage a lot more since I got the H2.

Counterpoint: There is nothing wrong with stock. Stock is 100x better than turning your H2 into a pavement princess with low profile tires and 24" rims. :lame:

Thanks all. Maybe air filter a few electronics and exhaust just to enhance things a bit. :) for now

Stock, lowered, lifted, whatever just drive it and have fun. Too few of us to bicker amongst ourselves....

Very nice! You will love it.
Do you want to trade that color matched grill for a chrome one? Or the black tail light guards for chrome ones?

I have the same color in an '06 SUT with 68,700 miles on it and it has run flawlessly. I wouldn't want to drive anything else. You are going to love your H2. Except for the tires and a transmission oil cooler mine is stock - oh yeh, the Blinder M47 radar detector and laser jammer on the dash mmmm :). I plan on keeping this Hummer for at least another 10 years, so I overdo the miantenance on it. Coolant flush every 18 months, transmission fluid at 32,000 and 64,000, all the diffs and transfer case at 45,000, new brake fluid, and power steering fluid at 55,000 miles. I hope to make over 200,000 miles on her. I also picked up another set of front seat leathers on Ebay two years ago and they are in storeage in the basement, along with a spare factory wheel.

Thanks for the comps guys I'm reallly happy with the Hummer.
I don't want to change anything on the exterior but I did see an ad for the factory color match grill the other day. I think they run $400.00. That's exactly what the charge was on the window sticker.
Anybody out there think I should be changing the diff oils and stuff just because of age? I just turned 21,000 miles.

I'd say just a coolant flush now! GM recommends the others at 50k I believe.

Vegasguy if you trying to bag on my ride there 22in and not low profile. view some of my other post its not a pavement princess but yes I like to bling dont hate.:D
Air filters and exhaust upgrades are a good place to make some changes on a H2 just my two cents it's your truck do what every you want to it. If stock works for you great.

Well, I DID say 24" rims. But it is not so much the rim size but the combination of huge rims with low profile tires on a ultimate off road 4x4 like an H2 that makes me cringe. They can't even hit a speed bump without needing to slow down so they don't bend a rim.
Nothing personal, but I have no idea what profile your tires are and don't care to look through previous posts to find out.
Hi VegasGuy, i have 24s and love them and lots of bling to each their own. I bought my truck because we have 3 to 6 feet of snow for 6 months of the year and its like off roading most of the time just to get around town.

No disagreement with that statement. Each vehicle reflects the personality of its owner. I am not into bling. Instead, my H2 reflects my desire for being prepared for the worst, e.g. go anywhere I need to go over any type of terrain in complete safety from the zombies.
