how about the ride height?

It's a common conversion, you will have the same apx height from what I've heard cause I almost did this on my last Hummer. You will loose the instant 2" boost when you hit that button on the dash and you will need to paint an idiot light bulb black (or trick the sensor somehow), but you never have to worry about a air bag ever again.
