Black SUV Tail Light Guards - New still in the box - Part #88968381 - These are the guards that screw into the body, not get mounted with tape.

I have seen some that have them and some that don't. These do not have it.

You may be on to something about it being the early ones. The early ones are also the ones that used tape instead of screws to mount.
