The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom
described in the PI.</P><A name=ss1-1538023><A

<H5>SERVICE VME</A></H5>
Should a customer indicate that they detect a propane type odor in the
vehicle, one possible cause could be a sealer skip in the rear wheel house area
that could let the rear axle vent vapors find their way into the passenger
compartment. Remove the rear wheelhouse liners and reseal all seams,
particularly a cavity in the front upper outboard area under the fender
flange.</P>

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If
the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining
steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition,
please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. </P><A
