Ok I dont know if my rear air bags or bad or not. But it seems like if my hummer sits for about or week or longer the back end drops. This has only happed couple of times. I tried the soap and water on them but i dont see an air leak. Will the air bag go down on there own if it seats to long?
thanks

Hi they can leak many places you need to check all the lines and all the items up where the air compressor is. Also the bags may take awhile to show bubbles, is their alot of cracks in the rubber?

Hi if you have checked it and can't find anything and it only does it sometimes and after a week. It is going to be hard to find untill it gets worse. I think i would just keep a eye on it right now.

If it does get worse would you but air bags back on or do springs? And where could you get them at?

Hi the air ride can be very costly to repair even if you can fix it yourself. When most guys here have problem with the ride they put coils in because it usually problem after problem as the truck gets older. I think coils and the rubber isolator are $275 to $300 here is a link to one place but their is a bunch out there. http://www.airsuspension.com/Hummer-H2-Air-Suspension-Rear-Conversion-Kit-p/-h2-r1.htm

Hey mack04, I dont have air bags and I'm glad I don't. But if it was me with the problem your having I would convert to coils and be done with it. It should be pretty easy to do and cost less than replacing bad bags. Good luck though.

Convert to the coils, I did. It takes a little getting used to at first, but only because you won't feel like you are riding in a feminine Escalade. Besides that, not only will the airbags go bad, but eventually so will your compressor ($1000 - $1250 not including labor), so could the compressor switch ($250 or more not including labor) and so will the air suspension light goin nuts acrossed your dash if you ever decide to lift it. Just putting in my 2cents from my experience.
