So yesterday I get pulled over by a state trooper... And he says "do you know why I pulled you over?" I said "I know it cant be for speeding?" He giggles and says "No, def not. Its because of your tinted windshield" I said "oh".
He then says how dark is the windshield? And I say 35%.... he then says it looked awesome and he wanted a closer look at my rig and he wanted to do the same thing to his rig!!!! He said "you know its against the law right?" I said.. ummmm, ya?
He then says "have a great day, Im going to tint my windshield!!" Sorry to bug you by pulling you over!!
What a great trooper!!! Thought Id share the story!! :beerchug:

Why would you want to tint your windshield? Especially in Chicago? :notallthere:

Had to see where you were from since I knew it was not Florida, or Alabama. You most likely have been given a ticket for window tint and they would have never taken your word for it. They would have tried to use a lite meter to determine the % of color vs lite passage and they applied a ticket and vehicle inspection too. :raar:

Not sure what part of Florida you're familiar with--we live up in the Panhandle (Destin area) and the cop cars are running darker tint than I ever have on my cars!
I have had my vans windshield tinted several inches below the "ANSI" line, which according to the tint guys is the legal limit they can go down the windshield. Never had an issue with the police on it; then again, that huge windshield gives the van a greenhouse feel and the extra tint is needed.
