My '06' H2 is yellow and I want to change the color to victory red. Any suggestions? Like where to go. I want it done like factory so has to be great detail and factory like. I live in Las Vegas!

Thanx, Eddie

well, your going to spend alot of money on it.

the H2 is alot of surface area to sand, prime, and paint.

thats not even getting in to door, hood, rear hatch removal, fender wells, and other misc items.

honestly, i wish i could give you information on where, and how much it will cost.

i would start with local auto body shops to get a rough price qoute.
maybe ask them for refference for custom paint jobs.

Hi pm Orangecrush {Mark} a forum member he has a body shop, to get some price inf. I beat it will be $5000 to $10000 depends how good of a job you want. Removing door handles and all outside trim and weatherstripping and inside door trim and under the hood and inner fenders is the only way to do it right. If is not done right your resale value will be much lower. It maybe a better idea for you to trade your truck in on a red one.

I'll check around for some estimates and let them know on how good of a job I want and see what prices I get! Thanx for the advice!

Wooah! Dont tell any body shop you want it factory looking! It will look like **** and have orange peel in the paint. Its a half ass job, no wet sanding to remove defects.

You want a "show car finish" if you want it looking real good. But then again if you have never noticed how ****ty the factory paint jobs are, then I guess it doesn't matter.

Ok so I got my first quote! $15,000! That is pretty much a factory paint job and I would lose my vehicle for a whole month! The shop was recommended to me by my mod shop! I probably wouldn't go anywhere else after I heard the detail they go through to change the paint! He basically said your hummer will have no trace of yellow found! Now, where can I find $15,000?

Find a Redbox, get a copy of The Town...that'll give you some ideas.

for 15G they better be pulling the cab off the frame and painting everything below that also.

If you dont have a ****load of mods on your rig and you really want red, I'd think it would be better to just sell the truck and buy a red one, or if you can find a dealer w/ a red one, see what you can work out on trade.

Better off with a vinyl wrap. That will protect your yellow paint for resale purposes and you could have any design/colour you wanted

A paint job (color change) for an H2 will be about 10K for an H2. If you want a show job, then 15K is not out of the question.

"I want to change the color of my H2, any suggestions?"

Two words..."mud puddles." Get down with the brown!

just curious, would the price be ALOT cheaper if your hummer was black? i got a black h2 and think about going to a sedona color and get the interior to match.

...thats a long term project tho.

Jesus Christ, two days of labor w/ 4 people... That couldn't of been cheap.
