for the owners of h3's with the factory marker lites installed that were having the loud vibration noise problem, did the GM fix kit solve this problem ? I have my h3 at the dealer as we speak having this kit installed and won't know until I get it back.

How much did you pay? I spoke to my dealer a few weeks back and they have supposedly resolved all the issues. I'm going to look into having it done soon.

had my h3 at the dealer last week and told them about the noise but instead of installing the fix they told me that a light or two was loose so they tightend them. no more noise but I was pissed that they did not install the fix.

In the dealer's defense, many dealers figured out the fix before GM released it and where installing them that way, so their claim could be legit.

After waiting for "The fix from GM" I ran a tiny bead of clear silicone along the front edge of the plastic piece for the marker lights which sealed it nicely!

You'll be fine. They fixed that issue a while ago. Enjoy the lights! They will look great!

And not all marker lights installed prior to the "fix" even have noise problems. I got my lights installed just a day before they originally went on constraint and I haven't had a problem yet.

There was two issues that i know of that have been corrected. One, during installation the windshield was cracking and two, wind was getting under them in the front causing a lot of noise.

I had a third issue, water was leaking down the baclk of the dashboard on the drivers side. The dealer identified that was the marker lights and fixed it.....so far.

I just bought mine and it has the off road lights on top . I found them to cause a lot of wind noise . It goes in next Friday , ill ask them about the wind noise , not sure if it would be the same fix as the cab lights .
