I have an '08 SUT and my CPU currently reads around 10.5 mpg. The only upgrades I have are wheels and tires. I have read where some guys have the same rig and get around 12-14 mpg. Every time I fill up my fuel range is around 275-280 miles, which is terrible. Would adding an air intake and exhaust possibly help gas mileage, even just a little bit?

Thanks
Austin

Hi if you changed the tire size [diameter] from stock size [diameter] the speedo and the odometer will not be reading correct and the trans will not be shifting the way it should either. The instrument panel cluster (IPC). displays the vehicle speed as determined by the ECM. You need to have it reprogramed with the correct tire diameter then it will give the correct odometer and speedo and trans shifting. Also after the reprograming is done that will make your milage computer correct. The dealer can reprogram it or it can be done with some hand held programmers like Daiblo sport or superchips. Hope this helps.
