But I am about to commit MURDER! Hopfully the the end of the week the truck will look totally different. This is the latest addition to the truck. Stay tuned its about to get a little crazy. And when I am done..... A FOR SALE sign will apprear on it. Thats right boys its time for me to upgrade! lol

Here is the first big change!.. New tire carrier. I had a factory one completely rebuilt to lift the tire 7" over factory height and tilted in toward the truck. Thus allowing for better departure angle. I had the carrier tilted in toward the body of the truck as well. IMO the factory carrier gave the illusion that the tire was falling away from the truck.

I will keep you guys posted.

Hi what are you going to buy if you sell it?

That is awesome ! That is exactly what I have been wishing for since Hummers first came out. I always have to use a long extention for the hitch tongue when towing and if I leave home without it I have to remove the spare tire . It won't clear when towing a trailer. That was really smart to lift the spare up and out of the way. It also always looked like the spare was too far away from the truck and leaned outward at the top. Can you take some pics from the side and up close of the tire carrier? I need to have this done ASAP ?

Getting closer...... I took some more pix last night. I think I have a buyer for the truck the way it sits. So I may hold off from Black Chroming all the rest of the stuff on the truck.

Where did you get the carrier modded? Welding shop? I like that look! What did they charge?

I had my dad do it for me. The bottom piece is made from 2"x4"x1/4" and the A frame is 2"x4"x3/16. The mounting braket was just cut off from the factory unit. He tilted the A frame in 6 1/2 Degrees.

If you want one I can probably get you one made for roughly $600. We are still working on the mounting braket for the licence plate. Its going to be pretty sweet. My dad is making a plate frame that will mount to the half moon in the center of the tire. It will be mounted like a reece hitch. I will take some pictures as soon as its done.

That's..........a bit overkill on the angle of that tire IMO....
But I like where you're going with it.:beerchug:

Is it just a coincidence that all the screws and bolts on your license plate light and frame are screwed in perfectly even with the heads aligned ? If so you might be as anal as me. Whoever buys your truck should really appreciate that special care.

Yup I lined them up on purpose. I am even thinking of using black crome treatment on the bolt heads as well.

@HumminNBoatin': This is such a sweet idea that I have to be 'like Mike'...I just dropped my carrier off at the local welding/fabrication shop with your pics. Mine should be ready Tuesday!
