alright so its time for some new rubber in the next month or so. for tires it looks like ill be going with the ss m16's in a 37x13.5x18. along with those im going to trade the rear airbags for springs(leak all the time and arent good for sh*t really) level it and pick up some 18" rims. i currently have 20" rockstars but im tired of seeing everyone and their mother with them. and they have some offroad damage. so I have decided on the Xd addicts in 18" so ill have more rubber to deal with. what i want yalls opinion on is whether to keep the black theme and get the black addicts or mix it up and go with the brushed aluminum addicts since i still have a little chrome on the tank

heres the two rims:
53364
53365

i personally love all black wheels, ecspecially on black trucks. That being said, the second choice looks better, going agianst my first thought.

I'd go with all black, the machined wheels look good too but wouldn't look right on your truck in my opinion. Keep the all black theme going

I vote for all black. I like contrasting wheels, but when the inner is black and the outer is chrome. Otherwise, the outer piece in black blends in with the tire and looks odd.

I'd just get another set of Rockstars. :giggling:

Seriously, I'd get a set of Fuel Hostages or BMF's.

Big.Z.hummin

No more rockstars. mine are peeling horrible and two center caps have broken so i dont even have the caps on anymore.

and the fuel hostages look nice but im not a fan of a lip on HUMMERS. and about the bmf's love the rims but they look like they belong on a big show truck. and I'm not about the pavement princess aspect :giggling: plus they dont even come in 18's

Guess I'll be different. I like the 2 tone black and polished. All black wheels tend to blend in too much. I think the Black/Polished brings out alot more of the detail of the wheel instead of hiding it. But I'm kind of behind the times. I just put the 20x12 chrome Rockstars on mine.

And can't stop starin at it.

Here is a nice wheel, comes in 8 lug and an 18x9. I like the way the simulated bead lock bolts are actually steel bolts and not plastic.

WOW you have some strange hangups. Chrome really has that effect on ya?

Anyway good choice those look good. I think the block letters on them should be close to the h2 emblems on the doors.

:fdance: Good luck workin that chrome issue out :fdance:

obviously you haven't been on this forum long enough to know that a lot of people dog on chrome here... but its all with good spirit and for a small laugh. Nothing really against chrome. i wasn't "dirting" your opinion at all. but ill keep all my issues and and you can keep your internet sensitivity. :lame:

Howdy,

With potential apologies to Big Z {the OP of this Thread} I thought I'd drop in a pic of some rims I'm considering in an effort to not dup the Thread, if that's alright?

At present I've got 17" Weld EVO Velociti 8 chrome wheels on the vehicle...

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=20503&d=1149519829

(Above pic is not my rig)

And they are flaking off chrome like an overly nervous Shetland, so I've been considering a wheel change, both in size and style. I've had my eye on these...

http://www.autoglitz.com/album/Toyota/FJ%20CRUISER-DIAMO%2017%20KARAT/FJ%20Cruiser%20Diamo%20001.jpg

...in 18"

{sorry for the Toyota image}

They are Diamo 17 Karats
What say ye?

Opinions?

Regards,

Buck.

Buck,

Since you?re asking opinions, those chrome wheels are GOD AWFUL UGLY!!! They?re horrible.

I personally don?t like chrome rims (the only reason I have them on my own is because the truck is white and black might be too much) BUT those rims are waaaay too much IMO.
