So I decided I want to go with the H Cam. I have been looking for the best price on this. $649.00 is the best I have found so far on G- Style's web. For those using this system, how do you like it? how was the installation process? Any where id you get your system from? how much?
thank you in advance for your opinions and information.

I've been thinking of one myself but don't know how it would work with the spare tire carrier in the way of view?

Kaycyk, you have two options.
Hitch mount: ouf the way of the spare
Marker light mount: Out of the way also.

Dry heat, I looked at this on their webb also. Do you have the system already?

I love my H-Cam...highly recommend it if you ever plan on using your hitch. You'll never run into problems with it up top, but the hitch cams need to be removed if you plan on towing anything.

Is it possible to use the stock navigation monitor with this type of system?

Black 04,

There is a good possibility. Our other car is a Honda Odyssey with factory Nav. I was at CarToys (Seattle, WA) and they assured me that they had a kit that would work with my existing Nav as a backup camera. This was good news as the Honda kit costs over $700.00. They said that they could do it for $300.00. Not sure if CarToys is in Canada but you must have a reputable car stereo specialty store around.

MMPH2,

Do you have a tire carrier as well? With the tire carrier installed it seems like the area of visibility would be compromised.

Kacyk,

I'm very interested in finding out more about providing a second source input to the stock NAV system. Please email me if you have the information on connecting up a back up camera to the existing NAV display.

Kacyk...I do not have the tire installed on the outside of my H2. So I don't know how it would effect the view. I'm guess the tire would be in the way for objects close to the bumper.

Blue...I tried to have my installer use the factory navi for the display and they said it would not work. Maybe someone else can figure a way to make it work. (just wanted to let you know what I found on my end)

Blue,

Call the Issaquah, WA Car Toys and speak with Stewart the manager. He's the one who told me about the backup system being incorporated into a stock Nav unit. In fact, they just did a Mercedes.

Kacyk,

I called Car Toys and talked with one of the sales reps (Stewart was at lunch) and they didn't have a way to connect external video cables to the stock NAV display. I talked to Chet at www.soundgate.com (http://www.soundgate.com) and he believes they'll have something soon. I'm not sure how they're going to do it, but I'll check back with them in a few months.

When SoundGate says they'll have it soon that translates to a year or more.

My wife drives a Cayenne and I am going to try this company. They show that it works for Denali and Escalade, so maybe it will work for the H2. Here is the Link http://www.nav-tv.com/index02.htm
