I'm looking for the Edelbrock Trailing Arms (#5260) and Panhard Rod (#5262)
Apparently these items have been discontinued by Edelbrock, but I'm certain there has to be some somewhere sitting on a shelf waiting to be bought. I started with trailduty.com who thought they were on back order but eventually found out they had been discontinued.
I've googled the part numbers and tried all the other vendors that came up (not many)...same story, "none in stock...item discontinued."
Does anyone have a good, 'lesser known' source that might have these on hand?
EDIT: Found the panhard rod on ebay...still looking for the trailing arms.

As I mentioned, I found the panhard rod on ebay ($95.00...and there's one left, search 'edelbrock 5262') and I went with a set of Hotchkis trailing arms since the Edelbrocks were so hard to find. I didn't realize that Hotchkis made arms for our trucks.
Thanks anyway...

The dealer can't seem to get the Hotchkis arms installed...says:
1. They're too narrow and wiggle when mounted in the brackets
2. The bolts which came with them are incorrect
Rolling back to stock trailing arms...for now. Those Edelbrocks are out there somewhere...

Called Hotchkis...found out that the company I ordered from sent me the wrong arms. They shipped the 1302s instead of the 1305s. The correct ones are being shipped out as a replacement.
SIDE NOTE: The dealer wants to install the arms upside down so the zerks are on the top instead of the bottom. I agree with their thinking as I wouldn't want to break a zerk while off-roading, but I thought I'd ask:
Does anyone see an issue with installing the arms upside down?
They've already modded my frame a bit to give the zerks clearance.

How much were the Hotchkis arms? How about some pics when you get them on!

To be honest...I paid too much (about $400). If I'd of done just a bit more research on them I could have saved about $100 by going with Summit Racing.
The 1305s just arrived and they are clearly thicker then the 1302s...these should fit fine. I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow evening to get the trailing arms and Kryptonite tie rods installed. I'll post some pics Friday.

I just pulled that part number over on Summit, interesting for sure. The bushing on my stockers have been squeaking like crazy and sound terrible. I did get the squeak fixed temporarily right now but these would definitely be better since they can be greased!

How did installing them upside down work? I didn't buy them because I knew I would shear off the Zerk wheeling and I never thought about installing them up side down :clapping:

Funny thing is...we talked about installing them upside down, but when they did the work the other tech put them in right-side up. From the way it looks, it would have worked, but it would have made greasing them a real b!tch.
I'm still wheeling my truck...theoretically, yes, they could be broken off. If and when that happens I'll just deal with it.

ive been curious about replacing a bunch of suspension parts on my truck too. suspension is normally the first thing i mod on a car. my plow truck has energy suspension bushings all around. really tightens everything up. does someone make sway bars, polyeurethane bushings, and these tracktion bars ina kit?

I don't think anyone sells all that stuff in a kit. I have, however, done most of the things you've asked about...panhard bar, trailing arms, sways, etc. Recently, I added Hotchkis sways and trailing arms along with Kryptonite tie-rods. Unbelievable difference. The truck corners SO much flatter and drives awesome. I'm assuming the sways were the biggest help, but the trailing arms couldn't hurt, either. I keep finding myself going around corners faster to see if I'm imagining it, and apparently I'm not. It also gets power to the ground better coming out of corners. Not as much squat in the outside rear.

i did some looking around and found some good deals on some parts. eibach sway bars about 300 bucks. edelbrock panhard bar for 85.and trailing arms for 170. this coupled up with new shocks, and i think my truck would handle pretty good. i was getting kinda nervouse about doing a 2-3" lift and not really doing anything to help tighten everything up. so i think this stuff would work perfect with what im planning.

obviously the sway bars are the best bang for your buck to help the suspension, but how noticeable was it after you put on the trailing arms or panhard bar?

I did the trailing arms, sways, and tie-rods all at once, so I couldn't tell you how the trailing arms affected the ride compared to the sways. I did notice, however, that the truck is more solid over bumps, so I would have to assume that is due to trailing arms. There is less "shudder".

Sway bars are next on my list. It like to get it a little stiffer on the turns.
Below is a list of what I've got in the front and rear so far. I've got a nice tight feel to the steering, and the UCAs and longer front shocks eliminated the harsh ride I got after cranking the torsion bars. I'm very pleased with the outcome...I think sway bars will simply be the icing on the cake.
