I love my Hummer but it 's getting taxing on my nerves about other people giving me **** about driving the H2. I get lots of crap at the gas station and on the road too. But also get thumbs up from lots of people too. Any good one liners to get back at them?

I never have heard anyone talk at the gas station, must be where I live lol..

But mainly it depends on where you live, I've never been given so much as a mean look, I think there may have been an occasion where someone purposely drifted into my lane in which case I returned the favor...

Get some hybrid stickers, and just mess with their head tell them some bs like how you get 18 mpg and say some bs like my work truck gets 7 mpg or something, I've long waited the day to have someone make a negative remark

I'd just make them seem unintelligent, because you do actually get the same or better than most work trucks 3/4 ton+ that are gas engines
266,000 H2's vs 20 million? vehicles with worse mpg

Ask them how often they fly somewhere, the amount of fuel a hummer burns in a week cant get a jet down the taxi lane

Lately I find that a smile and a wave pisses them off more than a rebuttal. The less you appear to be affected by their conversation the angrier the huggers seem to get.

Some light reading if you're feeling chatty:

I live in North West Florida and we rarely have a negitive comment and if it is, it is due to the others jealousy:twak:

We more often get great comments so maybe it is a Southern thing~Richard :jump:

When people ask me what mpg I get I just say "I don't know, that's not why I bought it, but it's on par with most full size trucks." If they continue I tell them how I think the mpg has improved since adding the 6 inch lift and big tires... Then they look confused and I walk away.

Most full size pickups with gas engines get 10-12 mpg.
example: any 2500-3500 truck.

I actually tell people i upgraded to 12mpg and watch there brain melt. my jeep wrangler on 33's got 10mpg.

I tell them it gets better mileage than the heavy duty F250 4x4 (9 to 10 mpg) it replaced, and it hauled over 1000 sandbags through 2 and 3 ft of flood waters in the great Clarksville flood of 2008 to help save over 100 businesses and homes. This winter when we had 19 inches of snow, everyone wanted a Hummer! Driving around a stuck snow plow may have been one of the highlights of this year!
