Newbie to the site and recently bought my first H2 and love it! But...it has the factory AM/FM/XM/CD radio. Nice sound, but looking for NAV / DVD and ability to install backup cam.
Can anyone tell me what factory options are available to achieve this? Do any of the earlier factory NAV models work in the 2007, use the same wiring harness and activate the steering wheel controls?
Thanks for your help!

go aftermarket! So many more options than a compatable stock deck would ever have.
Hi welcome to the forum, you may what to go aftermarket because the stock 2007 nav unit will not play a Cd with the Nav disc in because their is only one CD slot. 2008/09 have 2 slots so a Cd can be played while Nav Cd is in. Hope this helps.

doesn't matter what year you have. I've always liked and have the kenwood decks. Pioneer makes some good units. Its just personal opinion. Check out crutchfield for their nav decks. Find the model you like then google the part number for best price. Expect to pay couple hundred bucks for install, which should end up being alot cheaper than buying the unit locally.

i have a 07 with the factory nav. no backup camera option though. if your looking for aftermarket, you cant beat a pioneer avic nav system. had one installed in my old escalade and loved it. you can do all kinds of stuff with those nav kits.
this is the kit im wanting to put into my hummer and camaro. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-X930BT MSRP is about 1,000 , but sells here for 600 https://www.speakerboom.com/product_info.php?products_id=618

+3 on the Pioneer! My 2006 came with the factory nav and I disliked not being able to play my CDs while the nav was on in the factory unit. I got my Pioneer and a free installation at Best Buy for $925 two years ago. Also, the screen on the Pioneer is easier to read in bright sunlight than the GM factory unit.

I have a Kenwood DNX-6960 in my 03. Love the bluetooth. The duel source output is nice too. It allows the rear pass. to watch a movie on headrest screens and listen thru the rear speakers. and the front screen on GPS and front speakers on music. The remote control is a lil large and too many buttons on it. The only thing i didn't like about this one is it will not stream music from my phone via bluetooth. The DNX-6980 i believe does.

The factory Nav unit for the 2007's is very limited (I had a 2006 which is exactly the same). The unit in my 2008 is significantly better but still not on par with what you can get out of an aftermarket unit. Cant go wrong with either the Kenwood or Pioneer units.
