has anyone enquired adding a snroof in an h3 that didnt come with one?

Is it impossible and perhaps stupid?

I have read some horror stories on doing tis.

Can it be done and will they and what is the price?

I know the option when purchased is like 800 right?

It's been bumped to a 950 dollar option. Actually If I was going to do an after market sunroof I would do a full length safari fold back....Like on the old VW buses and audi 5000's. I have no idea or opinion on an aftermarket sunroof. I have always purchased the vehicle with or gone without.

My dealership was having a local shop add them for around $2k. It was a pretty clean install but not as nice as factory installed obviously.

There are quite a number of things that are different in the metel end. The roof has a number of added supports that are added before assembly and they take the place of several roof bows that would be used with nonsunroofs. The factory one would be a bear to install as good as the factory one.

Ramp hummer LI NY installed a aftermarket sunroof at time of purchase . they installed a lot of them on bases that were blinged up .If installed befor delivery you get the 4 year 50,000 mile warranty if installed after purchase you get 1 year warranty. sunroof is a little smaller than factory but nice clean install.I didnt have time to order from factory due to lease return on 04 murano.Sunroofs were on restriction at that time and checked all northeastern dealers and couldnt find a gray adventure with sunroof. They did hit me for $1,200 for install so factory sunroof is recomended , much less even with increase and a better unit.I smoke and realy wanted the sunroof. They did give me the smokers kit at no charge that includes cup ashtray and install of lighter in left aux outlet.(you cant put a lighter in the aux outlet female part has to be changed) No leaks or rattles auto open adjustable open/pop open also shuts automaticly when you shut off ignition, hit any button it will stay open . I wish i would of thought about the safari foldback at the time that would have been cool.

H3 gray adventure ,sunroof, steps ,roof rack ,smokers package ,window vents, sunroof visor, hard spare tire cover, h3 valve caps ,and mudflaps 2,600+ miles
