i run 20 inch rockstars w/ 37 tires

i had wished i went with 22 inch rims instead..

dont know if it helps, but the 20's left me feeling like they were'nt big enough for me.

Is it gonna stay on the street or will it see some off road?

If it's all street, go as big as you want...

If you're gonna see a little bit of casual off road, I'd prolly recommend the 20s...to get a little more rubber. If you're going to be doing more 'enthusiastic' off roading, then I'd recommend 18" or smaller...or you'll end up scuffing them up.

First thing I would do is take off that HUMMER sticker on the windsheild.....:crying:
It's up to you if you want to continue on with the chrome theme or start blacking out.

:giggling:

That's one thing that kills me about these trucks...GM put HUMMER/H2 branding all over the place: grill, bumper, doors, tailgate, door sill, steering wheel, license plate bracket, roof rails, inside the hood, hub caps, skid plate...it's a little much, IMO.

There's something to be said for subtlety...especially when the truck itself is so not-subtle. :)

the hummer stick has been off for along time!!! it stayed on for about a month then i realized it was kinda.... gay. took it off and did a tint strip.

im thinking about 22's. still looking into whether to get a 12 inch wide, or 9.5.

and cant decide on 13.50 tire of 12.50.

There is a thread about fender flares on here, you should check it out. The wider you go, the more sh*t will get thrown all over the side of your truck. Even for a street queen it's annoying when your truck is clean and you hit a little puddle and coats the sides of your rig.

i have seen the thread i think its the e&g flares? they look pretty good but i dont like how they go down further than the body on the front flares, and i dont know about drilling inton the body...

but i know how annoying it is we have a lifted vehicle that does it. and the stock hummer tires do it a little

I just have a quick question....

Back in the day when I had my '77 lifted to the sky EVERYONE did 15" rims with HUGE sidewalls-now those were lifted trucks. In this day and age everyone puts 20's and bigger rims on their trucks with rubber band tires that looks ridiculous IMO. I just don't understand the point to lifting a truck but putting worthless wheels on it??

Not dogging the thread or anything its just something that boggles my mind. Here in AZ EVERYONE does it!!

its purely for looks. honestly with a 20 and 37's there is an ok amount of meat in them. 22's and 37s are getting band like which is what i think i want. i used to hate it but somehow i like it now. if i were into offroading and mudding i would for sure have smaller rims. i also think it is a showy thing. the bigger they are the easier to see and admire?

:iagree:
...and I also agree that it's a 'looks' thing. I thought long and hard about even going to an 18, but I figured it was a safe compromise.
