Hi guys,

I'm taking my H3 overseas, and I'm getting the truck ready by replacing older or worn out parts. Just bought a set of new new BFG M/T tires, and now I'd like to get a new battery.

Which battery I should get?

I have currently installed AC Delco Professional 640CCA 105RC (model 86-7YR). I had this one for about 2 years (installed at Hummer dealership). I believe I had this same battery before, and it died flat after some 3 years.

Thanks for advice!

My original battery lasted 6 months, dealer replaced with the 7 year one.
At the 5 year mark I replaced the gm battery with a Bosch(pep boys) it fits in the box and its been in a year and no problems.

I have the old gm in the garage it seems to still hold a charge I think the truck came with a 5 year when new.

thanks,

I'll check out what pep offers, forgot about them. I also heard good about Optima batteries, but didn't do the research yet. But, I need a good battery because European winters can be cold as hell. I don't trust my AC Delco, because this brand died on me in 2 years even here in So Cal weather.

You can remove the plastic box and get virtually any size. Upgraded mine to the biggest RV deep cell and modified the oem strap by bending in a vise to fit...

Its worked great since:clapping:

Good luck with cold starts!:jump:
