I'm pretty sure there's enough info on here that search would pull up all the info you need.
Nice mod to free up some ponies too!

Or this one.

Are any of these compatible with an 04??

First link is just generic setups, not specific.
Second link might actually work, below it says it'll work on 06 Suburbans with the 6.0. I would assume its the same engine/radiator.
The main issue is the electrical, thermostat on/off, on with AC, etc.
I do have a bookmark to a website with the harness for sale. Let me find it and I'll post it up for you.
I've been wanting to do this since I bought mine a year ago, boggles my mind why they put a mechanical fan in these things.....

Agree. Seems so old fashioned. I think the Nelson harness is what everyone else uses. I'm just not sure if it works on the 04 as I've only seen info on the 05 and up.

Yeah so far seems like the way to go. Just want as much info as possible before I attempt this.

yes Nelson performance is who I was referring to. I just looked at the harness and I didn't see a year range, all it says it works with LS1/LT1 style fans.....
I have never looked into it a lot but it has been something I really want to do. I figured between the two of us we could drum up some info.

Do you know how to test a fan clutch to see if its even working properly?
Have you even gone through any high engine temp diagnostics?
Hate to see someone waste their money and not fix the issue at hand.

Fan clutch is good. That's what i thought it was at first. Everything works fine until im sitting at idle. Engine temp climbs, ac gets warm. As soon as I take off or rev the engine it cools down.
Wish the h2's ac worked like my vettes! Need a damn blanket for it.
