The local Chevy dealer is not really sure what to do when it comes to removing the air suspension using the tech 2.
Do you, Humtech, or anyone else have a specific procedure I can hand to them.
I figure while I'm dealing with the seat heater issue I might as well get this error message off my instrument cluster.

I dont know how, but I know those modules are programmed for various features available when they are replaced. Im going to say this is not a one time setup as they can be updated w/ new firmware. Wish I could help more.
I'd try going over to performancetrucks.net post in the computer section. Theres alot of guys know those systems inside and out.

What modules are you referring to? You lost me..........
I'm trying to delete the air suspension so I don't get that damn error message on my cluster.
I removed all my sensors, bags, compressor, etc.

Any of the 15+ modules in the truck....body, door, seat, etc...
Pretty sure the bcm when setup asks if its air ride or not.
If you go to performance trucks.net, there are guys putting options on trucks that were never available as factory options. They have figured out that their modules are in other vehicles, and program that module for the other vehicle.

something along the lines of this-
Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration
The body control module (BCM) must be set up with the proper regular production option (RPO) configurations. The BCM stores the information regarding the vehicle options and if the BCM is not properly configured with the correct RPO codes, the BCM will not control all of the features properly. Ensure that the following conditions exist in order to prepare for BCM programming:
? The battery is fully charged.
? The ignition switch is in the ON position.
? All accessories are turned OFF.
? The data link connector (DLC) is accessible.
? All modules and devices are connected.
To setup a new BCM, access the SPECIAL FUNCTIONS menu on the scan tool. Select NEW BCM SETUP and follow the instructions on the scan tool.
If the BCM fails to accept the setup options, perform the following steps:
? Inspect all BCM connections.
? Verify that the scan tool has the latest software version.
Passlock Learn Procedure -- Domestic Vehicles Only
Important: If any module or device listed is replaced, programming of the module must be done prior to performing the Passlock Learn procedure.
Perform the Learn Procedure if any of the following components have been replaced:
? The body control module (BCM)
? The Passlock sensor
Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components in Theft Deterrent for the proper procedure.
? The powertrain control module (PCM)
Important: After programming, perform the following to avoid future misdiagnosis:
Turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds.
Connect the scan tool to the data link connector.
Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
Use the scan tool in order to retrieve history DTCs from all modules.
Clear all history DTCs.

Have you tried unplugging the air susp module and removing the relay?

Thanks for the info MUD. I'll head over there if I can't get the message removed using this latest suggestion from HT.
Humtech- where is the air suspension module and relay?
I've read about ED removing a relay in the front harness. Is that the relay you're talking about?
What about the location of the module?

So it looks like 2 relays... one in the engine compartment and one under the driver fender well.
Thanks for posting these pics!

My suspension error message on the DIC has not come on for week.
I've not touched anything to attempt to remove it. I did put the stock program back on the ECU and then went back to the performance tune but that's it.
Is it common for this to disappear for a while and then come back or disappear and NOT come back??
I want to make sure the new owner doesn't get stuck with the message.

Well, still no message. I have no idea why, but it's been almost a month.
