I have a 4 month old SMA exhaust system and the
tips are rusting. I live in New York w/ salty
wintery roads but that really no excuse I
thought this system was stainless steel. Sounds
like a crock of sh*t to me. Does anyone have
this same problem ?

SMA was selling a Billy Boat system. Contact Billy Boat and they should help you out, especially being that SMA is no longer around.
H C,
I have the SMA exhaust as well and no rust yet after about 4 months.

Doubt it. SMA held the warranty - not Billy Boat.

the tips on mine have changed to a bronze color, but no rust. The system is stainless, so it's not going to rust. Post a pic.

OK, someone needs to learn to post pics.
RESIZE!
Anyhow, I took a scotchbright pad to my tips. That is the only part that had rust.
Next I took OOO to blend the scratches better.
They now have a brushed look to them and no more rust. I would not suggest this system to anyone considering due to the qaulity of the tips. The sound is OK, but does have some interior drone. I have heard the Borla and like it better. Not sure if the Borla has rust issues though.

Got Rust? This SMA exhaust started rusting in one month. The rust comes off with mothers polish and alot of elbow grease but returns soon after.

I owned a set set of Borlas on my last vehicle and the chrome tips were awesome. No rust issues.
