I went in this morning for my 9000 mile oil change. While I was there I told the service advisor that my driverside rear view mirror was a little loose. They did the oil change and replaced the mirror in about an hour. When I was checking out I caught a glimpse of the computer screen with the work list. The mirror replacement with the labor was $591.00. Good thing it was under warranty!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I know ALL about replacing the driver's mirror. I'll have to take a picture of the one I shot.

I wonder....are stray bullets covered under warranty?
Stray bullets are not covered. But intentional hits are always taken care of. The SW is too afraid to deny coverage. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Your talking to a professional......6 drivers side mirrors replaced already!!!!! It turns out that the design of the mirrors is very poorly made and GM forgot to make them waterproof without thinkin of all the electrical componenets inside. My regular problem was that the mirror would open a full 180' from the folded position. Atleast I can say that I'm very pleased with my dealer and although my warranty is now over, they still honor replacing it since its a repeat problem.
I'm on mirror #4...the cheap things wobble/vibrate especially after returning home from off-roading.
All drivers side of course!

Had both of mine replaced under warranty. One was broken up/down and the other had a slight shake to it when adjusted which is an indication of it about to fail...
