I wrecked my Hummer last night. Hit a 2012 Nissan Rogue.
Anyone have any extra parts to sell? Grille?

More pics required

I had someone hit me a couple weeks ago, but luckily I wasn't driving the Hummer

EDIT, is the hood undamaged?

If so then +1, makes life a lot better

Also, whats on the passenger side running boards

Sorry about your accident. You ran into the Rogue?

Got any more pics?

As for a grill, there's a couple of local sellers selling the lower grill on H2.

Hood is undamaged, other than scratched up from glass and mis-aligned now.
Glass from her Rogue is on my running board, and hood, and roof.
I have a crack in my windshield, but I have my entire glass tinted so the crack didn't spread too far (notice how dark my interior is?).

And yes, her tail light was implanted into my headlight. We all got a little laugh out of that.

Yes, I rear-ended the Rogue. She was sideswiped by a Neon in front of me. When she locked up and spun out I didn't have much of a choice. Luckily I was able to hit her at an angle or the damage would've been much worse on her end. But.... they had to scoop her SUV up and put it on a flat bed truck.

I still have my lower grill; luckily it was unharmed. It was already coated in Line-X so I put it in the back of my truck for safe keeping. I am on the lookout for another reasonable grille. I plan on having it Line-X'ed as well.

that really sucks!

I on Ebay looking at H2 stuff everyday and luckily there are chrome grills and the lower metal bumper readily available. Some at a premium price but they are out there.

Hope to god nothing is wrong with the hood though. Have a great appraiser look at the rig and have a dealership body shop do the work not one of those fly by night places.

I 'may' be able to re use my grille. The shop said it is scratched up pretty bad but I plan on having it coated in Line-X to match the rest of my truck. I also ordered a Road Rhino steel winch bumper with PIAA 510 & 1400 lights in the bumper, also coated in Line-X. I'm still on the look out for a decently priced grille (>$100).
Now the bad news, they said my hood is toast. The reinforcements behind the grille are smashed beyond repair. $2300 to order a new one. :((

I trust this shop. They have worked on other cars / bikes of mine and I trust them with my old Vette.

Perfect timing, my stubby antenna showed up today from Amazon!! Guess I can sit here & stare at it for the next 2 weeks while cruising in my rental Silverado. :ack:

Here's a close up of her brake light wedged into my headlight.
Sorry. I only had these 2 pisc. I was in lane #2 of a 6 lane interstate or I would've taken more of the other car. They scooped it up & put it on a flatbed w/ traffic whizzing by.
The Hummer is in the shop now for awhile. Maybe they'll let me inside the shop tomorrow & take some 'disassembly' pics.

Funny story: when the ambulance showed up, he came up to my window and said: "Are you ok? Nevermind. Of course you're Ok; you're in a tank! Have a good day"

I'm confused, your hood wires are surrounded by a sleeve, but you have an antenna from an after 04+ truck

I thought they stopped the sleeve stuff in 03, reason being it holds water and can rot the wires and cause them to break.

Hmmm. I didn't know that. It is an '04 for sure, but maybe it's an early production model. It maybe previous owner added it. I know he changed out my mirrors to the newer style.

I planned on using my stock grille & have it sprayed with Line-X as OEM is $590, so if I reuse my old one, I should receive a $590 credit towards my deductible. Right? WRONG. They said they will give me a $200 credit if I reuse my old grille (which needs a little work before being sprayed; missing 2 mounting tabs and a little bulge in the plastic). This doesn't seem quite right. $200 credit to keep my trashed grille. I think I should receive the full $590 since insurance doesn't have to buy one. Geez.

Screw that, I'm sure you could find a use for it one day.

Get the new one, then take it off and put on your other, you could hang it up in your garage, or hold onto it til something happens, or possibly get a good offer on it.

Wait is that the insurance company talking or the person fixing it?

Here, they made the estimate and the money came no matter what I did with it, they shouldn't be able to take away the estimate amount, that sounds more like the body shop talking in my opinion

Sorry to hear about your accident, but am glad you are OK. Dealing with insurance companies is challenging, even with the better ones. Whatever they want to give you new - go for it!

STL Zombie Hunter

Thanks Jim. I'm ok. I had the shop put a lot of aftermarket parts on there so my cost that I'm responsible for went up; 1/4" steel winch full bumper w/ 4 PIAA lights. Eliminates the plastic 'upper bumper' that the DRLs go into.
I was hoping to save my deductible by foregoing the new grille but looks like they are hosing me either way.
Atleast with the old grille I get $200 credit, otherwise $590 is added to the balance. :(

why are you paying anything out of pocket in the first place?!

STL Zombie Hunter

why are you paying anything out of pocket in the first place?!

Nothing out of pocket except for a $500 deductible. I had them add an upgraded Road Rhino 1/4" steel winch bumper w/ 4 PIAA lights instead of the stock metal / plastic bumper with OEM DRL. This added about $300 more than what OEM parts were, leaving a balance due by me. If I would've kept it stock, only $500 would be owed by me.
So reusing my scratched grille & having it coated in Line-X was SUPPOSED to save me $590 on my bill, but was only allowed $200 now.
I hope this makes sense as I'm now confused after typing it. :ack:

Better late than never :beerchug:
Now I need to get me a winch. Mile Marker most likely, as Warn is too rich for my blood. Plus I only plan on using it during snow storms to pull people out of ditches.

I got a grille a few weeks ago. Thanks. Truck is all back together with the new winch bumper but has to go back. The hood doesn't line up and has runs & dirt in the clear coat.
I still need to get my winch & 2 pairs of PIAA lights though.

I still need to install my winch and 4 PIAA lights. Also need to get it Line-X coated. Just been too busy getting my Vette ready for a car show. Which was a waste of time, as it ended in a free tow from AAA at 11pm last night. Grrrr.

What bumper is that? Road Amor, Road Rhino? I know they are all essentially the same but lesser issues with the latter.

LoJac, it is a Road Rhino. I bought it all welded and ready to install. It is 1/4" steel with 7/8" steel for the tow hook brackets. No issues in the installation; it follows the factory gaps quite nicely.
It will look much better once I get it Line-X'ed and PIAA lights installed.

how much did you end up paying for that one shipped and everything? I've always been dying for one of these but everyone has always said the installation is a nightmare with the road armor but I guess road rhino bought them out or something.

Did you order straight from them or someone else?

I ordered it directly from Road Rhino (Elijah Kragulj) roadrhino@gmail.com
$995 for the bumper (fully welded & ground smooth; raw steel finish) and $175 freight from Chicago to St. Louis. If you decide to order one, tell him Michael Baldwin from St. Louis referred you (I used Maze Collision here, that may refresh his memory).

The body shop that did my Hummer said it went on easy. They had to shim up the passenger side a little bit to get it to maintain the gap below the grille.

This bumper is SUPER heavy duty and I am very happy with the fabrication of it. No complaints on my end.

Thanks! You mean I have an aftermarket item that you don't? That's a nice switch for me for a change. :)

I'll post more pics once I get it coated.
