I've heard that the 08-09 (new replacement for old I would suppose as well) glass is thicker to help alleviate road noise, did you notice this by chance?

Safelite installed it and I was amazed how thin it was. We will see how it holds up.

I'm on my third windshield. Last one was a GM done at Lynch just before they closed and has held up well.

19x have to get replacement number two when i get around to it.
I drive on sanded/rocked roads all winter for snowboarding...... Probably in the hundreds the times Ive had rocks nail my window. Never an issue.
Throw a bottle inside the truck, does the bottle break nope, the windshield.
Get it fixed.
Changing a wiper a few months later. Slips out of my hand, close distance not fully extended or anything, cracks the damn windshield.
Good luck with your new windshield.

I just had my 4th Windshield replaced since I purchased it new. It ran me $560 done in my driveway, but I insisted on OEM Windshield, which took a week to get from GM. As someone mentioned earlier, I windshield is thicker on the 08/09 H2's.
