While searching for a reclining kit for our Escalate ESV I found this! Anyone installed it and can comment? Was it a difficult install? Do you know if there is a kit for 2007-2013 Escalade?

That kit has been out for quite awhile now. There's even a YouTube video of it in Asia of a guy that has it installed on his H2. But the price is a bit steep for that mod.

325 bux
thats retarded
- unless the seats went all the way back and it turned into like a bed
but based on the pictures and the video.... it doesnt
Sorry not worth it, in my opinon
(and since I dont know if it is just a piece of metal or not, I would just go with LoJac comment.... and I would have to say it is yet another product that is offered to our community with the Hummer Mark-Up. I hate that... somethat that costs 10 bucks to make but sold for hundreds of dollars just because the people who have these vehicles must have money.... like it is with my Vette or my M3.... sorry I hate those who do the More Money Mark-Ups)

Here there is a little more for that Mod ... I was looking info cause it seems a good addition to long trips for my daughter ... Im sure someone could take the idea and DIY . Agree $325 is at least $125 over the price I would considerate to pay if needed

I guarantee, now seeing it broken down through the installation (thanks Miami), that it is just an oem part off another vehicle (Ie. it is probably a recliner off a front seat for other seats.... unless it is a recliner for say a Suburban or Escalade - or other rear seat cross over that might have a reclining back seat)
Anyone know which GM vehicles out there have rear seats there recline?

Just an after thought... it only comes with the one reclining bracket?
Is it me or does it just seem that reclining a dual seat back with two full sized people on it would be ALOT of weight for that small single bracket to hold?

Not sure if it is from another vehicle but that may work . Im going to start looking which GM may have a similar part . I never understand why the reclining isnt standard on this expensive trucks :notallthere:

Are they standard or even an option on other rigs (escalade?) ?

My recliner just arrived for the H2. They make a recliner for 2006 and older model Escalades but not the 2007 + body style. I assume you're talking about the bench seat recliner application.

It may be a GM thing. My Toyota Landcruiser's second row bench reclined and so does my friend's GL450 and my other friend's Armada. I agree with you, doesn't make sense.
I'll take detailed pics

I would bet to say that if the 2006 Escalade has a reclining back seat, then this is just the same part crossed over for the H2.
Personally if I could find a junked Escalade with a rear reclining seat..... I just might try to swap to see if it would work.

I bought this kit years ago from someone on the forum, but never installed it. I didn't even opened the box. I will look for it to see if I still have it.

Did you ever sell this part?
Did anyone ever research out the recliner from the Escalades if they will cross over?
Do we have any updates on this install?
