just installed the rockford fosgate kit and it's not getting any power it seems. The setup was very easy.... plug in the amp/sub cable, ground it, tap the power cable to the fusebox power on driver side, and connect the new harness to my navigation unit. Everything was simple... but it's not powering up I guess.
Any thoughts/ideas why? I assume this kit shouldnt have a problem with an aftermarket navigation (clarion nx501) since all the wiring harnesses match up but maybe not..?

I also put the door speakers in and they are working fine

Can you verify you are getting power at the unit via a test light or volt meter? Is your ground good? You may need to scrape the paint if you grounded at a painted metal surface. I know this setup was designed to be used specifically with the factory HU so that may be part of the issue.

I used the ground in the B pillar which is there by stock, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I'll unplug the end from the amp and use a volt meter to test.. thanks.

I bought the same system, it does not work with zan aftermarket deck. It will only work on the stock deck. I tried plugging it into my Pioneer nav and it was a no go.

eeek that sucks.

Does the stock unit even support a backup camera,Sirius radio, bluetooth?? If yes, maybe I'll consider going back to it...otherwise I guess I just wasted 300$ on this audio system that I wont use

Can anyone else confirm if it works with an aftermarket navi?

just buy an amp and run the fosgate system through to your nav deck thats wat i ended up doing. 300$ is still cheap for a custom box with a sub and speakers.

thanks.. that's actually what I think will work best also. Trying to figure out specs on that sub but I can't find anything. Could you recommend a replacement amp? I'm thinking I wont need anything too fancy since the one that comes with this kit is pretty tiny and janky once you see it...

my HU is a clarion nx501, has 2x pair of red/white RCAs for amp, does this mean I need a 4 chan amp or just a 2 chan amp and I can just use 1 pair?
