I'm looking to upgrade from my 2005 H2 SUV to a 2008 or 2009 H2 SUT. It's been a challenge to find a low mileage vehicle of either year. When comparing a 2008 and 2009 SUT with similar mileage, color, etc. , is the added expense of a 2009 worth it?

08/09 were the same vehicles with the same upgrades as far as I'm aware so the only difference in cost would be the new year.

I would trade mine in a second for a low mileage and good priced 08/09 even though I prefer the "older" interior I'm tired of all the squeaks, creaks, cracks, bangs, and other noises our interiors make!

The 09 is bluetooth capable and will run on E85 (if you want to run that junk in it).

I would like the 6 speed transmission but could do with out the interior, the 92 Octane fuel, blue tooth (which any aftermarket radio will do too) and there are no corn fed gas pumps here for the E85 either

I own an 09, and the only difference that I remember between two models is bluetooth and E85 Flexfuel (which I never plan on using) capability.

drivetrain and interior are the major differences. 6.0L, 4 speed vs the 6.2L, 6 speed

Both 08 and 09 have 6 speed and 6.2L, but the 09 is Flex fuel compatible.

I went from an 04 to an 08. While I prefer the look of the old style ones, the new style interior is better made. No squeaks and creaks. The engine pulls much better than the 6.0 but get ready for the 6 speed tranny to shift and shift a lot.

Pretty much echo the others here..... I went from a 2006 to a 2008. I personally like everything better about the 08, only thing I miss from my 2006 was the captain style front seats with the fold down inner arm rests. Everything about the 08 is better in my opinion.

Yep, plus it's easier to rest your arm by the window on the older ones. I do love the gauge package in the newer ones.

I'm going to have to chose between the two soon also. What influenced your decision?

Came down to price for me. I found a 2009 and a 2008 SUT with sedona interior and similar mileage, but the 2009 asking price was $22K more. The 2009 was E85 Flexfuel capable and had the bluetooth option but it wasn't worth an extra $22K. I got over having to have a 2009 quickly. I am happy with my purchase

Hello.
The 09 I am buying has heated steering wheel and electric tilt. Build date was 01/09
