I have been debating on weather or not to post this issue. I decided to.

Three weeks ago I took my H2 in to Ken Bachelor because the mirror was sticking when it folded. A KNOWN issue right? So I get there and sure enough, it didn’t stick for the service advisor at all. She was polite and stated that they knew of the problem and were going to replace the mirrors under my extended warranty plus $200.00 deductible. Fine. Great. As long as its fixed.

After 20 minutes she brings the truck back and said that the GM rep was NOT going to cover it because he couldn’t get them to stick. I responded “So, I guess he’s calling me a liar? This is a KNOWN problem, the truck has been in for this exact problem before, yet my word isn’t good enough? I got in the truck, folded the mirrors and guess what? One stuck. The service writer witnessed it so she went back to the GM rep and said that since SHE witnessed it, that he’d cover it. So it appears that the word of a customer who had paid over 50K for a vehicle isn’t good enough for them but, the word of their service writer is. OK I get that…hmmmmmm. No I don’t.

So, I let them replace the mirrors, pay the $200.00 deductible and drive off a liar.

Guess what? The new set sticks too. The passenger side sticks worse than the one they replaced...

I will take the truck in to another dealer next week while in another city on business and have them take care of me.

Did they replace them with the new '06 style mirrors? My mirrors are starting to get a little loose so they're giving me the option of replacing them with the '06 style mirrors. I'll just pop of the chrome caps and rattle can them.

The dealer here replaced a buddy of mines a few weeks ago but didn't put on the '06 mirrors. Anyone know if they are just using up the available stock of the previous style first?

Many dealers are probably either using up exisitng stock to get rid of the old style mirrors, or are having trouble getting the new mirrors because the supply is short and the demand is high. It's also possible that the dealer could be clueless and not even be aware of the bulletin. Probably the first part though.

request the '06 mirrors. Since my swap not 1 problem with them sticking, not folding, or excessive vibrating

That could be it as well. I know the sale department is clueless but have heard service it great.
