Hey Albie...I'm glad your candy-ass can see it's way to a Hummer Happening http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif You may....may just get a bit dirty http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Brian...after White Mountain, you'll think your traversing a parking lot of a Walmart. It's always fun to hear people talking about how exciting the obstacle course is....then you tell them about going up something twice as steep, with rocks, ruts and a cliff off to one side. Enjoy it, but don't get too excited over their course.

Let me use a better analogy...it's like going out with a gal who has 38 DD's...and then having to go back to some B's http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I heard alot of trucks got really torn up in the last HH. Lots of really deep scratches, 4 people had to be winched out, 4 flat tires, a couple of stuck H1's, oh wait a minute, that was the white mountain run. Oh well enjoy the steak and throwing the football around!

Allen

Is it really that lame.....or is it really some sort of off-road event???

Allen

Yawns ville....boring. I personally like to stare certain death in the face and then with one swift turn of the wheel...cheat it!!!

But you say the food is good huh....then maybe that's an idea...... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah....that and posting mechanical failures on national internet for the whole offroad world to see http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

The only juices flowing were beer & piss to soothe your beaten ambitions of conquering that hill. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

HH's are rather mundane & boring....it's more fun to deliberately take the wrong line and watch the instructors freak....then abuse the buffet. A good cardiologist can actually see the ring of plaque I built up eating my way through those ribs!

Don't listen to Steve. He thinks he has 3 days to live. If you want to have fun at the HH, take your wifes van and tell them you demand to do the course in it. That is the only way it will be challenging.

The food is great, just make sure you're the first in line or you'll get the crusty leftovers.

That's why I've always been a strong advocate for the trough-system!

Oh yeah...they love me at the HH's...I refuse to engage the locker, tried to run the frame-twister backwards and insisted that my H2 didn't have a transfer case.

AND...it wasn't my fault they left BOTH cans of whipped-cream out by the sundae-stand sitting alone begging to be abused! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Steve, u must eat like I do.
I forsee an increase in Hummer MSRP costs due to our eating everything.
Dad has an extra wheel chair if u want to use it to run thru the course http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

BTW where I used to work we used to bet on who could eat the most, weigh in on digital shipping scale before and after.
After a couple times of me eating 6#+ they didn't bet anymore http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.
That whole pumpkin pie and a tub of cool whip usually put me over 6.5# http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

ALbie, I also signed up for the afternoon session. That means there will be 2 "CANDY ASSES" there.

Hopefully STEVE signed up for the morning session or maybe he is going on Sunday, that way we don't have to hear how great he is and hear how we are nothing but "posers" http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

See ya there

Steve R
10-14-2003, 02:18 AM
Oh....did I say candy-asses??? I'm sorry...I'm sorry...

I meant PANSY-ASSES.The two of you make me sick (not to the point where I can't clear the buffet....but still). I don't know which one of you should win the award for outstanding achievement in the field of NOT offroading your H2.

You'll both be sorry. When the apocalypse comes and an age of darkness falls upon the Earth...where choas prevails and a nomadic era of struggle is upon us........you won't be able to traverse vast wastelands, broken towns and urban wastelands. The first fallen telephone poll will stop you in your tracks!

So eat your chicken pilaf, chug your latte's and laugh at the few who off-road....we see who's laughing last.

Don’t laugh too hard, wouldn’t want our esteemed, self righteous, self centered, legend in his own dam mind, self proclaimed…………………LEADER and moderator of the free off-road world to have a cholesterol induced heart attack because two highly trained off road enthusiasts are waiting for a REALLY challenging off-road course to test our Hummers now would we???????????

You see, Albie and I are just waiting for a real challenge and until a real off-road adventure comes around, we GONNA EAT LIKE PIGS AND PLAY IN THE MUD!

Hope to see ya there…………….NOT!

BTW, during the Covina thing, was it me or was I the only one asking around when were we going to eat. The Key to getting Albie there, is FOOD. shhhhhssssss don;t tell the ladies how to get to my heart.I'm a sucker for food. No wonder I am on a diet.......HEHEHEHHE

Also mr. steve if I was bigger than you I would kick your buttt......LOL...... then I would hide behind Rudy. Cracking myself up.

Hey Brian, this is playing nice. If we were getting ugly here, then Mr. Moderator would cut us off and kick us off of his site he has groomed for his 4X4 'noN POsER" buddies.

I'm with Albie, we would kick his ass except he is so much bigger than we are, we are scared of him and we hide behind our keyboards......but we can out run him I bet........maybe?

BUT we are set for our POSER weekend for the grub and the non-scratching, non-stressful, very delightfull, non-challenging, yawn filled, non-Hummer hurting trail ride through the open green pastures of the Hummer Happening, which should be named the POSER weekend according to our self-proclaimed ego manaic Moderator......... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ya know Heehaw.....you and I know you're just kidding around, but there's bound to be some people who can't quite put it all together and are wondering what this is all about.

I probably shouldn't give you guys such a hard time for not joining us on the trail. In all honesty, we just have so much fun that I want you to also join us and experience the thrill. Perhaps I should re-think my 'tuant & provoke' method towards inspiring you to leave the pavement...

You guys enjoy the Happening and try to "represent" for the group. I've been to enough of these....and the cost of gas alone can buy me the food at the choice restaurant of my own pickin'. But don't worry....I'll always be here to put the "ATE" in MODERATE.

But seriously...neither of you can watch the Pismo video and tell me it doesn't look fun...and that trip was entirely without a scratch or any trauma to the rig.

Steve, I only come at you hard cuz I know you can take it as well as dish it out.......Or pile it on...which ever you perfer. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You are a leader here and you spend a lot of time working and playing on this board. Needless to say, without you on this board, it would not be the gathering place it is.
Kudos to you for that.

Seems you operate better when you have the upper hand on things and people.............its all yours

HeeeeeeeeHawwwwwwwwwww

Steve R

So long as you get to legally carry a loaded & lethal weapon....and can weild that baton, I think it'll be you with the upper hand on things.

Then again, if you should find your H2 packed-full with cellulose blown insulation solid through the cab...... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

...then I'd find all 4 of my wheels "booted" http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

Have a great time guys....I've heard it's a beautiful area and a great course they've got set-up. I've just got too much going on this weekend to make it down there. Besides...I want people to think I have a life outside of the Hummer-thing.

I'm putting together an awesome run for early/mid November. We'll be heading up north towards the Sierra Nevada (not as far as it sounds!). We'll be running up through Jawbone Canyon, up into the Piute Mountain Range and through the Sequoia National Forest (8,000 feet)....then down towards Lake Isabella. 53 miles of scenic beauty. This will be a non-obstacle event, about 10 years ago my buddy's and I drove a chevy nova through it without issue...there are some switchbacks and a few areas where a 4x4 makes it nicer...but the road is almost double-wide and you can count on nothing touching your rig or any damage: pure scenic charm!!!

Word to come...enjoy the HH, eat some food for me Mr.Haw!
