We're living in the mountains. On both our Denali, and the H3, we had to sign this big warning waiver about snow chains. If you buy the proper chains, that fit well, what's the problem? Has anyone used chains on their H3 yet?

Who made you sign the waiver, the dealer? From what I read in the Owner's manual, chains are ok on the smaller tires, but they warn against them on the larger tires.
I agree with your statement about proper fitting chains. Only thing I can think of is if one of the wheels fully compressed the shock due to road conditions, the chains might hit the inner fender (large tires only). Don't think too many people off-road with chains, so like you, I don't know what the problem is, but hopefully, I won't need them in the flat pot hole state.

We were up in the mountains last weekend and got about 2 feet of snow. The Hummer did great we didn't need the chains but it was a comfort to know they were on there. A lot of cars and vans were in the ditch so I think it is about comfort level and skill with your rig.
The main thing I noticed with the H3 is that it will go just fine through the snow but when it comes time to turn (90 degrees) and stop, it doesn't like to. So straight it is fine but don't get to confident at the stop sign and turnin g.

I have used Rud 4x4 Grip snow chains for about forty miles off road on the H3 in the back country of Colorado this fall. They worked fine and are easy to install and take off. As you are aware chains really do make a difference on ice, snow, and mud combos. My only recommendations is that you take it slow when driving with chains off road.
Hope this helps.
