alarm upgrade?

is the factory alarm inadequate? iv heard the factory alarm is a joke and not worth a @##$# so i guess my question is are there systems u guys would reccomend that would get the job done better than the factory system

factory alarm sucks. Break the window reach inside and open the lock and door. alarm will not go off..

I just had the Hornet installed(after 2 break-ins). It is a lot like the Viper. Glass protection all around and a cool remote start. 500 bucks installed. Factory system is worthless.

The installer seemed to think they were pretty much the same, so no particular reason other than it was a couple hundred cheaper.
