I figured we should start a thread just for the group buy for the NJ, NY area.
If you are interested in a H2 Group buy please note it here and add if you want the 2003 or 2004 year.

I'm buying a 2004. I'll talk to the dealer I'm working with in Paramus NJ and see what he can do. I should be talking with him by next week the latest. So we have 4 of us so far?

What price are you getting from that dealer? I got a really good deal last month on an 03 from Goldcoast also in NJ.

03 H2 Black W/Lux, tint, V1, & Chrome Rims
01 BMW 325i w/sport package
02 Z06 TR *SOLD* 7/14/03

Z06, the pricing is not out yet for the 2004, so I'm not sure yet what I'm paying. I have been offered $2K off of a 2003 H2, which is no big deal giving the time of year. What deal did Gold Coast give you?

I would doubt that any dealer would consider you a group and thereby offer a discount. You are each individual buyers. It's not like you are a single company writing a single check. Presumably you are all potential H2 customers so the local dealer should be willing to deal with you on an indidual basis. Reallisticly speaking are you all ready to buy on the same day? Will you all finance/ pay in the same way? Will you all get the same warranty/maintanence contract? And will this be the dealer you all want to get serviced buy? While this last one is not crucial it does affect how your future service relationship experience will be. This I know from my own experience. I don't mean to be so negative, and really hope you all get your H2's, but I just don't think it'll matter alot. Your best chance with this scheme would be for 2003 or 2004 6 months from now.

I was planning to collect the money from everyone first and let them know how it works out. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Seriously, I happen to agree with you BKLYN, I don't think they will make us a deal either. However, the way I will present it is that I know 3 other guys who are going to other dealers like Gold Coast, and I can get them in if he gives us each some $ off MSRP. So while not a true "group" purchase, the dealer would have 3 more buyers he wouldn't otherwise have. We'll see.

Goldcoast gave it to me at invoice last month since they had over 100 H2's in stock and 60 more on the way all 03's. You may want to check them out. Not only did they give me a great price on the H2 they gave me a very fair price for my Z06.

I agree you will not get a deal on an 04 around here since there are so many 03's on lots. Good luck and if you want i can email you the sales mgr at goldcoast. I delt with the owner of the place and he was a very fair man.

It was about 50k (3rd seat, lux, and sunroof)

They gave me 36,500 for the Z which was a very fair price since they only sell private for around 39k. Saved the $$ in tax.

Check out hummerofsiouxfalls.com

They have 28 H2 HUMMER's in stock most are Lux series with sunroof air suspension and third seat. NO demos
MSRP is $55,140 and they are selling them for $2,000 back of invoice or $49,337.

They also honor GMS employee and GMS supplier pricing.

I talked to the dealer in Paramus and he didn't go for the group buy concept. Said he'd maybe throw in an accessory or two for me as the referror, but he claims demand is such that he wouldn't be willing to discount on the 2004. Like Bkln says, if one of were to buy several at once as a true group purchase, I think then we can negotiate.
