(I posted this in the photos forum by mistake) http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
Before you tell me to search, I already have and did not see any recently updated info. I will be ordering an '07 as soon as they are available to order and I cannot wait to find out what I will ultimately select.
So do any insiders here know what the 2007 H3 will have? Some rumors I've read are:
3.7 V6 (35 more hp)
Child safety locks
new colors
None of these have been "officially" announced as far as I know but I'm sure those in the know can confirm. So lets have it!

What are imperial blue and Sonoma Red close to and what special editions? Not the H3X I hope. Too much blingage for me...

I sure hope the orange is a little more subdued, kind of like the H2 orange. I would hate to see a bunch of pumpkin looking hummers on the road http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
Too bad they are dropping the green, but good in that I will have something somewhat unique http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I wonder if the 37U code for Imperial Blue Met is the same code as Superior Blue. Tried to find out on Hummer.com but it only said the color name and not the code.
main thing i want to know is on the 3.7 or not! have been holding off for the wifes H3s until something (or someone, <cough>F5!!<cough>) speaks up on the real deal! LOL

What torque does that 3.7 liter V6 engine deliver?
It looks like our 3.5 liter in-line 5-cylinder
engines deliver 225 ft lb = 305 Nm @ 2,800 RPM,
according to specs at
http://www.internetautoguide.com/car-specifications/09-...hummer/h3/index.html (http://www.internetautoguide.com/car-specifications/09-int/2006/hummer/h3/index.html)
Thanks for all info. I'm pretty happy with the
H3 as it is but wouldn't mind replacing it with
a new one or an H4 in a few years.
A plug-in hybrid would be super.
I read that neither the hybrid Highlander
nor the hybrid Escape are designed for off-road.
Still waiting for a hybrid off-road SUV...

It's been known for quite a while that the 2007 model will have a 3.7L in it. But it's still the I-5. Same engine is going in the Colorado and Canyon.

I've read the rumor but has this been confirmed?

One of the managers at the dealership where I bought my Hummer said he heard rumors of a very small V8 being shoehorned into the Hummer... With a slightly modified interior to accept it. I can't imagine them departing too much from what they have already done though.

Don't expect anything like that until 2008 model year. New engines require recertifying the crash testing and that takes a while. Also the reason that the new engine will be the same configuration (I5) just in a larger displacement.
A 5 speed auto would be nice.

Agreed, 5 speed auto with OD on/off button on stick would be great.

Define "very small V8." If 5.3L is small, so be it (truck 5.3, not the car 5.3.) It will not be in the H3 until '08, and it has not been shoehorned into the Hummer, minor modifications to the dash panel (aka firewall). No exterior body changes required. There is actually a lot of room to work on the engine in the compartment.
The 3.7L is just a 3.5L bored out, and it will have 25-30 more horse. A black one just arrived into the shop on Friday. Will be a nice increase in HP, but I am happy I did not wait.
The V8 will most likley be an expensive option.
