hey all,

We're trying to get new rims on our H2 within the next 3-4 weeks, the ones that we want are going to be backordered for 60 days. Panther 280 Realms.

Anyway, we looked and there is next to nothing we can find that we like that is available in 22" for the H2 that we can get that fast.

Should we get the 20" which I'm told there is a ton in, or should we wait for the 22"s?

Opinions?

I personally am looking into getting 20's. With 20's im guessing you will get the big rim look without losing quality of ride. Even while looking for 20's i have had a hard time finding tires. Nitto terra grapplers, mud grapplers,Toyo a/t and M/T are all on back order. You could however go with the BFG a/t as they are in stock most places...and btw, the MKW M19 (20x11)isnt a shabby looking rim either http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hey guys,

We ended up being able to get them through our local DiscountTire. The guy called all over for me and is having 3 of them sent from 3 different parts of the country, plus the one they have there on display. They are telling me that they have the Nitto Tires for it.

This is a picture of the tires we're looking at,

Then I worked up a quick mock up with them on our car to get an idea, I'm sure it will look quite a bit different once we get the real ones on with the real wrap and accessories

Well, hey if you'd said to start with you were going "Pink" then why stop at 22"? Aren't their 26's & 28's availble in the H2 pattern?

Casey,

You prepared to upgrade your brakes as well? I had 20" Lexani VP Off Road wheels on our Pewter. Although the look was nice I clearly noticed braking issues. We now have 18" Kaotic's and the braking is near stock.

Also, if you go with 22's the gap bewteen the tire and fender looks rediculous. You'll be tempted to drop it. Then the usefullness if the truck is void. IMO H2's look "right" with larger tires.

Hey all,

You guys have me concerned here. What is the opinion on brakeing issues.. I'm throwing WAAAAYYY too much money at this vehicle so far.

I really can't spend much more.

Do other people agree about me needing new brakes? I don't think we are getting low profiles, they said there would be like 5"-6" of tire after the wheel? the tires are by Nitto, but I don't know what kind?

I personally am not crazy about lowering H2's or the huge rims, I just want a cool look that will stand out a bit to draw even more attention to our ride and our company around town.

But... I also want to drive something that I like, I like being able to do alot with it like you should with a hummer. I'm no offroader though.

I'll talk to the discount tire guy see what their thoughts are but I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

Since you seem to like pink ... how about something along these lines.

Hey Mudinyeri,

What is the stock tire size of a Rubi, and does it come with lockers? Not to start anything with you just asking.

That truck looks like a Pepto-bismal commercial-

Rubicons come stock with 245/75R16E tires ... and yes they also come stock with front and rear locking differentials.

Happy to answer your questions. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

"hits stomach upset like a truck." ... Now, that's funny!

Casey, here's the look with 18" wheels. It looks nice as is still functional. Plus, at 18"s the tires and wheels are still resonable in price. A 20" set gets expensive and at 22"s the cost is overwhelming.

Kacyk,

That pic looks nice - could you post another of the entire profile of your rig? I'd like to see how the tires/wheels look from that point of view.

Thanks.
